He can become very distressed when left alone and may bark or howl. He is currently taking anxiety medication to help manage this, but his adopter will also need to be prepared to continue working on his separation anxiety and help him gradually become more comfortable being apart from his people. He will do best with someone who has the time, patience, and commitment to continue supporting him.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eBlanco is a very excitable dog, and this is especially noticeable around children. He becomes extremely enthusiastic and may jump up, nip in excitement, or try to grab toys and stuffies. Although these behaviours are not aggressive and come from being overly excited, his size and enthusiasm could easily knock over a young child. For this reason, \u003cstrong\u003eBlanco is looking for a home with no children under 16.\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eHe has been wonderful with the cat in his foster home. He is also expected to do best with \u003cstrong\u003ecalm, dog-savvy dogs\u003c\/strong\u003e who can handle his enthusiasm. Slow and appropriate introductions will be important.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eBlanco is looking for a family who will appreciate his big personality, his endless affection, and his desire to be involved in everything they do.
