Because of this - \u003cstrong\u003ewe are recommending he not go to a home with kids under 12. \u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eGotham has shown \u003cstrong\u003eno signs of resource guarding\u003c\/strong\u003e with food or other items, which is great news. \u003cstrong\u003eUntested with cats, but very nervous seeing them through a window- recommending a cat free home.\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eMedically, Gotham does have some things his adopter will need to be aware of. X-rays showed that his hips have a \u003cstrong\u003edysplastic shape\u003c\/strong\u003e, meaning they developed abnormally. This can put him at increased risk for arthritis and cruciate ligament problems as he ages. The good news is that his current X-rays showed \u003cstrong\u003eno arthritis or other joint damage\u003c\/strong\u003e, and there was no evidence of an active cruciate injury in his knees. Keeping Gotham \u003cstrong\u003elean and fit\u003c\/strong\u003e will be especially important for supporting his joints and helping him stay comfortable.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eGotham also has a \u003cstrong\u003eminor 2\/6 heart murmur\u003c\/strong\u003e that was detected during a previous examination, although it was not heard while he was under anesthesia during his most recent procedure. His adopter should make their veterinarian aware of this history and continue to monitor it.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eHe is also \u003cstrong\u003eprone to ear infections\u003c\/strong\u003e, so his ears may need some extra attention throughout his life.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eGotham is looking for a family who will appreciate his goofy personality, keep up with his playful energy, and help him maintain a healthy weight.
