AA and AAA batteries

Why do we need this product?

The Hamilton/Burlington SPCA needs AA and AAA batteries because many of the everyday tools and medical devices used to care for animals rely on them. Instead of a general statement, here are more specific, real-use examples:

• Medical equipment: Portable thermometers, otoscopes (ear exam tools), and small diagnostic devices often use AA/AAA batteries so staff can quickly check animals anywhere in the facility.
• Monitoring devices: Some cages and recovery areas use battery-powered monitors (for temperature or movement), especially for animals that are sick or recovering from surgery.
• Feeding and care tools: Automatic feeders, digital scales, and medication timers frequently rely on these batteries.
• Cleaning and sanitation tools: Items like touchless soap dispensers, spray systems, or small handheld cleaning devices may require AA/AAA batteries.
