Ever wondered what happens behind the scenes at the Hamilton/Burlington SPCA? Join us for a Shelter Discovery Tour and explore the many ways we support animals and the people who love them.

During this guided tour, you'll visit key areas throughout the shelter, learn about the programs, services, and resources offered by the HBSPCA, and discover what's new and coming soon. Along the way, you'll gain insight into animal care, shelter operations, our Companion Animal Hospital, humane education, community outreach programs, and the impact your local HBSPCA has on animals in need.

Of course, no shelter visit would be complete without seeing some of the animals in our care! You'll have plenty of opportunities to view adoptable animals and hear inspiring stories of hope, compassion, and second chances. Please note, at this time, there is no opportunity to meet or interact with the animals at the shelter.

Whether you're a long-time supporter, a first-time visitor, or simply curious about animal welfare, a Shelter Discovery Tour is a fun and engaging way to connect with the HBSPCA and learn how you can make a difference. 

Shelter Discovery Tours are available for up to 10 people, on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and every-other Saturday at our shelter facility - 245 Dartnall Road, Hamilton, ON. There is plenty of free parking onsite for vehicles and bicycles, and the shelter is accessible by HSR bus #22.

Tours are offered free of charge, but donations are always encouraged or shop one of our Wish Lists to support the program or service of your choice!
